March 2026 storm
Two severe hailstorms struck Greater Western Sydney and the Macarthur region within five days in March 2026. If your vehicle was parked outdoors during either event, it may be carrying damage that isn’t visible to the naked eye — and you may be entitled to a repair at no out-of-pocket cost.
⛈️ Storm 1 — Penrith & surrounds, Saturday 21 March 2026
A slow-moving severe thunderstorm struck Penrith just before 4:00 pm, sitting over the region and delivering up to 20 minutes of continuous hail, heavy rain, and lightning strikes. Hailstones of 5 cm were recorded and wind gusts reached 91 km/h. Flash flooding closed the Great Western Highway at Kingswood. Suburbs most affected include Jordan Springs, Glenmore Park, Caddens, Emu Heights, Cambridge Park, Kingswood, and St Marys.

⛈️ Storm 2 — SW Sydney & Macarthur, Thursday 26 March 2026
Five days later a second cell tracked south through the growth corridors toward Campbelltown, Oran Park, Ingleburn, and Minto. Two significant events in one week has left a large number of vehicles across the region carrying damage from one or both storms.
